These are our custom designed offshore slow pitch jigs. The target species for these lures will range from tuna/ snapper/ grouper/ jacks/ mackerel, and just about any other fish eating pelagic species. These offshore jigs have been scaled up from their smaller sizes known as "BlueBlue Lures" or "Searide" lures in our local waters of the Chesapeake Bay. The unique action these lures have is unbelievable, and unlike anything else out there! These lures will have the bluefin tuna going crazy when they are schooled up feasting on bait. For all the yellowfin and blackfin tuna anglers out there, these lures can get down deep and help trigger those bites you can’t quite reach on the troll. 

These lures can be both casted and jigged vertically!

• For casting purposes these lures will perform best if tied on the non-hooked end. With a slight twitch upward and a slow steady retrieve you will gain the attention of any nearby fish.

• For vertical jigging purposes we recommend tying to the heavy side of this lure. These lures do not come with hooks as there are various ways to rig these lures. Our personal preference is to use slow pitch style double assist hooks with some tinsel and a solid ring. We then thread the solid ring and heavy side eyelet of the lure through the solid ring. Tie your main line leader to your solid ring and you’re ready to go. These lures can be rigged with a barrel swivel if you prefer that method as well. We have found the action of these lures work best when paired with thinner diameter assist hook cord.  

These slow pitch jigs are 180g which translates to about 6.3oz. We are working on adding additional sizes to our offshore collection, so let us know what other weights you are looking for.
